If you are a driver of a 2014-'16 Jeep Cherokee SUV, our team at Larry H Miller Chrysler Jeep of Avondale wants to inform you of a problem with a seat fastener that has led to Fiat Chrysler issuing a recall to solve it. Over 1,800 models have been viewed as a risk and recalled by the manufacturer, built between July 29, 2013 and February 5, 2016, for this specific issue according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

"The seat fasteners on the first- or second-row seats may not have been tightened to the proper torque specification," the NHTSA said in its recall summary. "Loose fasteners may allow the seats to move, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupants in the event of a crash."

The recall will go into effect starting on September 23rd, 2016, at which point Jeep dealerships will replace the seats or seat sets to the affected Cherokee vehicles for no charge to our customers. If you're worried that your Jeep Cherokee falls into this category, come in to our Avondale, AZ dealership and our excellent service department. We'll gladly work alongside you to ensure the safety of both you and your vehicle. Stop by at 10055 W. Papago Freeway to take care of your Jeep's issue today!
