The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica just earned another reason to be your favorite family car. This month, the vehicle earned a rating of Top Safety Pick + from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, in addition to achieving top scores for crashworthiness.
To earn this rating, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety looks at features that help drivers avoid collisions. One of the many highlighted safety features that helped achieve this rating in the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is an Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, called Forward Collision Warning-Plus, that earned a rating of "superior."
The marveled system includes sensor-fusion technology. According to FCA Newsroom this, "...combines the particular attributes of radar sensors and cameras for great precision. The system only responds when the camera and radar agree that a frontal impact appears imminent."
Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands - FCA North America said, āThe 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sum of all the knowledge weāve accumulated about minivans and the people who are proud to own them. Among the things we know ā safety is one of the most important purchase reasons and achieving the Top Safety Pick+ rating helps to establish Pacifica as the segment leader.ā
