Thanksgiving week is officially here! What are you most excited for—the mashed potatoes, roasted turkey, or family fun? If you’re looking for a way to mix up your traditions and refresh the holiday, look no further. We’ve got a handy list of local Arizona events to sweeten the already delicious day.

Your Guide to a Festive Thanksgiving in Phoenix

  • Grab a light jacket and head over to the Valley of Lights in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This festive event consists of a one-mile drive through the brightest and most cheerful tunnel of lights you’ve ever seen. It’s a beautiful Thanksgiving tradition to begin with your family. Pro tip: We can help match you with the perfect car to celebrate properly.
  • If you want to head over to Tempe, Arizona, they have a beautiful Fantasy of Lights Opening Night Parade on November 24 at 6 p.m. This is a great way to conclude your autumn festivities and begin your winter celebration with a tree lighting ceremony, Santa, and other holiday-themed events. This is a great alternative to making the trek down to Disneyland to see their lights; this will cost far less and be much more manageable for you and your family.
  • Are you feeling especially generous this season? Give back to the community. There are several Arizona organizations and charities that could use extra food or a helping hand during this holiday season. Whether you’re up for making a meal for the homeless, donating warm clothing, or even making a financial contribution, this is the perfect time to lend your time to those in need.
