The Chrysler Yearbook You Didn’t Know You Needed

Chrysler has a long and honored tradition of automotive excellence. Since its founding in the early 1920s, they’ve been one of the front-runners in innovation, style, and comfort. Some of their models, though since retired, deserve a little extra recognition for being outstanding pillars of four-wheeled strength and style. Check out our picks selected from deep within the Chrysler vault:

  • 1970s Cordoba. This was a 115-inch-wheelbase affectionately known as “Chrysler’s new small car.” It was reminiscent of a luxury car with streamlined features, a “formal” roofline, and rectangle-shaped taillamps. This model, championed through television by actor Ricardo Montalban, sold better than every other Chrysler model combined.
  • 1980s LeBaron. The 1980s saw the reintroduction of the convertible into the American market, something to which we owe endless summer power ballad jam sessions.  The LeBaron convertible made everyone want to get out and pretend they live in California or some other deeply fabulous and sunny location. Thanks for sunshine and smiles, LeBaron.
  • Chrysler Sebring. The Sebring had a fifteen-year hold on the mid-size luxury car market. With its smooth style, convertible option, and classic comfort, it was a luxurious choice for anyone seeking to make a more fanciful impression on the road.
  • Chrysler Town & Country. We’d be quite remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to the beloved Town & Country. This famous minivan graced the market back in 1989 and was eventually replaced by the chic Chrysler Pacifica. However, the Town & Country was a classic beloved by families, adventurers, and anyone with a taste for great-quality cars.
